Dunbar Running Club is part of the sporting community of Dunbar which is a small town on the east coast of Scotland. Dunbar is a former fishing town which still has a small fleet of fishing boats but the main local industries are now the British Energy power station, the Blue Circle Cement works and Belhaven Brewery.

As a running club, we are affiliated to Scottish Athletics which is the governing body of Scottish athletics (but you may have guessed that from the name). The adult members cover a broad range of ages and abilities. We compete in races ranging from 5k to marathons and over. The junior runners do road running in the winter but also compete in track and field events in the summer months e.g. in the Forth Valley League competition.

If you live in the Dunbar area then why not pop down to give the club a try. We meet every Tuesday and Thursday at Hallhill Healthy Living Center. You can get a map of where it is here.
